Class skillsThis is a featured page

Characters can learn skills in order to improve their attributes or in order to use special battle techniques and spells on themselves, on friendly parties, or on enemies. Different skills are available to each of the classes. There are few kinds of skills:

  • Active Skills - skills that have to cast - used directly with mouse button or a hotkey. These skills you use while fighting enemies, often in place of the normal attack.
    • Attack Skills - skills doing damage, but aside from that have no other special effects.
    • Buffs - skills that increase attributes of the player for certain period of time. Buffs can only be used on caster (Self-Buff) or other players, they do not work on the enemies.
    • Debuffs - skills that lower attributes of the enemies or deal extra damage over time.
  • Passive Skills - skills that add permanent bonuses. They boost overall stats or modify skills, but are not used directly.

Skill Tree

You can check all skills available for your class on the Skill Tree. The Skill Tree can be accessed by pressing K, Alt+K or by choosing the book icon from the bar under chat window:

Skill Power

The damage of an active skill depends on the character's physical/magical attack and the skill's power: Base Attack Power + Skill Power = Damage. For example: an archer with high plussed bow has physical attack of 10 000. She uses Deadline level 4, which has 22 000 power. The total damage of the skill is equal to: 10 000 + 22 000 = 32 000.

Your true damage will, of course, be determined by the target's defense against your attack type. The attack skills of each of the subclasses seem to use a different equation, with the many of the powers representing percent multipliers instead of damage. This does not appear to hold true for all of the attack skills' powers, so no real equation can be given.

The power of buffs is the increase that that buff gives the target character. The power of debuffs is the decrease that is given to the target. For more complicated skills, the way to "read" their skill info is described in the Description area of the table.

Some of the skills have elemental attack or defense attribute - the info on that is given in Element area of the table. To find out more about Elemental System, please check out this page.

Important: All passive skills effects
(powers, increases, decreases, etc.) shown are cumulative! If a skill says level 1 increases your physical defense by 40 points and level 2 increases it by 50 points, then if you have level 2 of that skill you're getting a total increase of 50 points, not 90 points.

Skill Range

Every general skill has a range listed in meters. Even personal buff skills have a range, despite the fact that they only work on your character. On the right is the in-game compass with the most common ranges marked on it, just to give you an idea of how far a skill will reach.
Class skills - Last Chaos - Guides & InformationRed = 5 meters
Orange = 15 meters
Yellow = 20 meters

Skill Cost

To learn a skill you need a certain amount of Skill Points. All skill tables contain information about SP needed for each skill's level and the total amount required to max out the skill. Also on the top of the page there is a note giving the total number of SP and Gold necessary to max out all of the skills on that page.

To learn some of the skills you will also need specific stat points distribution, prerequisite skill, Skill Book or special item - information on that can be found under the skill's name in Requirements.

Where to find Skill Books

  • Veteran's Composure - skill book for the Veteran's Composure skill. It can be obtained after completion of the I am the Veteran quest. The book is sometimes available in Item Mall.
  • Akan Skill Box - dropped by boss monsters in Akan Temple (Hard), contains Soul Skill Books
  • Cube Box of Skill - dropped by monsters in Extreme Cube, contains skill books for level 102 skills
  • Golden Skill Book Box - dropped by monsters in Floraim Cave, contains skill books for level 122 and 132 skills
  • Golden Skill Box - contains the same books as the Golden Skill Book Box. It can be obtained in Monster Combo - requires 100 Elite Coins to open
