Class skillsThis is a featured page

IMPORTANT: All skill effects (powers, increases, decreases, etc.) shown are cumulative! If a skill says level 1 increases your physical defense by 40 points and level 2 increases it by 50 points, then if you have level 2 of that skill you're getting a total increase of 50 points, not 90 points.

Skill Point costs -
In each skill table, the total number of Skill Points required to max out that skill are given in parentheses under the SP cost row header. To "max out" a skill means to learn all available levels of it. At the bottom of each page there is a note giving the total number of SP required to max out all of the skills on that page.

Powers -
The powers of all the attack skills for the six basic classes are the skills' base attack power. Damage is calculated with the equation (atk power)+(skill b.atk power)=damage. For example, if your character has an attack of 400 with their weapon equipped and you use a skill which has a power of 300, the damage done will be 400+300=700. Your true damage will, of course, be determined by the target's defense against your attack type.

The attack skills of each of the twelve jobs seem to use a different equation, with the many of the powers representing percent multipliers instead of damage. This does not appear to hold true for all of the attack skills' powers and is still being tested out, so there is no equation I can give for you to use to figure damage yet.

The power of buffs is the increase that that buff gives the target character. The power of debuffs is the decrease that is given to the target. For more complicated skills, the way to "read" their skill info is described in the Helpful note area attached to the bottom of the skill's table.

Durations -
For all the buff, debuff, and stun skills there is a time duration given. All times are displayed in seconds, and all the seconds are in real-time. If you want to convert to game-time, then 2.5 real-time seconds = 1 game-time minute.

Ranges -
Every general skill has a range listed (in meters). Even personal buff skills have a range, despite the fact that they only work on your character. On the right is the in-game compass with the most common ranges marked on it, just to give you an idea of how far a skill will reach. Class skills - Last Chaos - Guides & InformationRed = 5 meters
Orange = 15 meters
Yellow = 20 meters

Special marks -
You will probably see many
- signs and a few ? signs on the skill tables. The - means that no change has occurred in the skill's effect and it is still the same as it was in the previous skill level. The ?'s mean that we do not know or are not sure about the information that goes in that spot.
